  • It’s the first full week of June 2026. College gr It’s the first full week of June 2026.
College graduations have passed. High school ones are coming up. School is ending and summer begins. Day trips are fun as are week-long vacations. Many are doing house maintenance, searching for jobs, and caring for others. Me? I’m preparing for the Shine Camp.

But whatever we’re doing, let’s all be kind. Since I shared about my daughter’s kindness to a stranger in a restaurant, I’ve seen so much kindness. A friend mailed me stationary this week that said, “Shine On.”

That was sweet.

And the guy at the drive through window said nice happy words through the speaker: “I’d like to help you have a good day.”

He made me smile.

Being kind is easy and inspiring … when we feel like it. But what if we all asked God to help us want to be kind, to provide us with an opportunity, and find joy in it?

This will get us started: “Whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them.” (Matthew 7:12)
The Bible says to “be kind to one another.” (Ephesians 4:32)
So, let’s.
15 Days until SHINE CAMP 2026, happening June 15-1 15 Days until SHINE CAMP 2026, happening June 15-18. Join us as we CELEBRATE 10 years of “Equipping teen young women with biblical principles that enable them to embrace their identity in Christ, strengthen their relationship with God, use their gifts and talents for God’s glory, discover their purpose, impact their community, and shine!” ☀️

Rose, who attended every Shine Camp since the beginning (before middle school), is now a sophomore at Western Carolina University and is coming back to serve as a volunteer. How precious it is when our godly women pour into the younger generation. Welcome back ROSE! It isn’t too late to register your teen. See link in the comments. :)
Good Monday morning! Thank you all who have served Good Monday morning! Thank you all who have served! We remember!
Happy Friday! Be blessed today, Shine Friends! Happy Friday! Be blessed today, Shine Friends!
My daughter, her husband, and their two children w My daughter, her husband, and their two children were at a restaurant waiting for the hostess to seat them. She overheard the woman in front of her respond to the Hostess, “Oh just one … it's my birthday.”

Without hesitation my daughter chimed in.

“No one should spend their birthday alone. Join us for dinner.”

The woman did. They ate, talked, and celebrated for the next three hours.
After my daughter and son-in-law paid for her dinner, the woman, who was traveling to another state, prepared to leave. But she told my daughter she would never forget this birthday or her kindness.

We can positively change somebody's day and make it better. Afterall, kindness is fruit of the Spirit, a characteristic of who we are as God's children (Galatians 5:22–23).

Shine friends, prayer team, and ALL friends who li Shine friends, prayer team, and ALL friends who lifted last Saturday’s event up to God, I want to thank you for your prayers. The ladies’ brunch at Liberty Baptist Church in Candler, NC, was beautiful and God was glorified. NOT because I was there as the speaker, but because God showed up and meet our needs. He heard our prayers and we saw our worth. Thank YOU God for all you do for us. I want to thank Teresa for inviting me and all the volunteers who planned and brought food and set up and tore down. Thanks to the SOUND MAN too! He kept everything running smoothly! The women made me feel so welcome. I have many new friends! Thanks for sending me these pictures !
